Backstage Television American Gladiators then and now

This youtube clip alone shows how great of a show American Gladiators was. I’m happy to say that its return does not disappoint. Gone are the days of the mullet, Larry Czonka, and Joe Theisman… Now its time for Hulk Hogan, Ali’’s daughter, and HELLga (pictured right)!!! Seriously, these Gladiator chicks are hot (especially CRUSH)! Perhaps this is why Hulk Hogan left his wife…. The ex-Mrs. Hogan is probably what the 1980’s Gladiator chicks look like nowadays. I wouldnt mind getting taken down by any of these gladiatorettes, granted their clits probably look like, and are the size of catcher’s mitts.
As for the events, they are pretty much the same. Little tweaks here and there as well as a couple new events. My old favorite, ‘Assault’ would probably still be my favorite if I was 10 years old, but its kind of boring. Tweaks include such game changing elements as WATER INSTEAD OF PADDING and the referee is the ref from the movie Dodgeball… Hit and Run is probably my least favorite. You run back and forth across a bridge while gladiators swing giant saggy balls at you. Definitely not as exciting as it sounds.
If my memory serves me correctly, I seem to remember watching the show back in the day on weekend mornings. I could be wrong. Does the show deserve a prime time slot on a major network? No…. but considering the writers strike, and the fact that it would just be taken up by some lame reality show, why not? Ill take this over Dance Wars with Bruno and Carrie any day.
