I'm currently out of witty stories so this week we will just jump right into the news.

1.  Ole Miss changes lyrics to song, obviously to piss off everyone

The Ole Miss administration has worked tirelessly to not only put a shitty product on the field, but to enrage students, some alumni and local Klan members by removing a line from their fight song.  What is the line you may ask?  "The South Will Rise Again" to be exact.  The students are all UCF tailgate angry about this.

So what if there was a bloody standoff on campus in 1962 when they admitted their first black student?  Who cares that their mascot looks like a cartoon mix between Col. Sanders and a plantation owner?  Why is it bad that hundreds of their fans fly the "stars and bars" before, during and after games?  Well, Jim Barksdale who donated $100 million to the university is one of them.

In all reality, I don't think it's that big a deal since the students will still chant it anyway, and people get pissed off about everything in the world.  I'm so glad there is so much bullshit to worry about in college athletics.  How dare the liberals take away the students "tradition" of yelling remarks that offend an entire race!

2.  In more inane news...

The University of Minnesota had to apologize to Penn State because their mascot, the guy who dresses up in a fucking gopher outfit had the audacity to "mock" a Penn State player while he was praying in the end zone prior to the game.  The mascot simply mimicked the actions of the player.  CALM DOWN.  You know what mascots do right?  It's a guy in an outfit who tries to be funny.  They regularly pass out due to heat exhaustion; get hit in the dick by children, attempt acrobatic moves in a fucking 20 pound costume.  Everyone thinks it's funny when they roll around in pain on the ground while their giant, toothy-grinned head stays intact.  But apparently this was too much.  Uproar over this is shitty.  I hope the mascot gets a suspension just to show him!

3.  Sam Bradford Injured......AGAIN

I wonder who would have seen this coming.  Look, by all accounts Bradford is good kid, but he was rushed back too soon and this is what happens when you have an overzealous coach who feels he needs to win games to stroke his ego and make his fan base and administration happy.  If that hit Bradford took against Texas wrecked his shoulder, then I am naming myself Dictator of Luxembourg.

In related news, why does everyone think Bradford was going to be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft anyway?  He's small, he can't take hits, the only time he lined up under center his entire career was against Florida.  Oklahoma doesn't run a "pro-style" offense that NFL scouts desire.  In fact, this should have been a knock on him.

4.  LeBron and Terrelle

Who cares?  Why is it a story that LeBron James talked to Terrelle Pryor about dealing with adversity and being a "celebrity" at a young age.  Pryor certainly hasn't progressed as well as most expected, but shit this was the same kid that called TONS of attention TO HIMSELF by waiting until after the signing date to choose Ohio State as his vessel to the NFL.  He did that so everyone would be watching HIM.  He also called attention to himself this season by wearing eye black that read "Mike" under the left eye and "Vick" under the right eye.  Odd that the media asked him questions about that one.  Maybe LeBron can give him tips on not shaking hands with your opponent after losing a game to them.

REVIEW

I suck so bad.  I went 1-3 and only the Razorbacks saved me.  I'm swearing off Georgia Tech for the rest of the season.  If they are playing the game, I won't be playing it.  I really don't understand how Texas only won the game by three even if Bradford played the whole game.  Maybe a decade from now we will hear how Colt McCoy colluded with gamblers because that interception he threw into the hands of Brian Johnson.  And I mean it was like Johnson was running a 15 yard curl route.  Screw you Colt McCoy.  Illinois is so bad right now that I think Illinois State could beat them.  How did Ron Zook fuck this one up?  He should have an explosive offense, but it's gone totally lights out this season.  For your reference, Indiana has gone to ONE Rose Bowl in their history.  Illinois went to one Rose Bowl........UNDER RON ZOOK, with the same quarterback!  Illinois, you are a bunch of assbags.

BETS

1.  Arkansas +6.5 @ Ole Miss

Is there a stronger bet one could make this week?  I love falling into trap games.  Someone has dug out a giant pit, covered it in twigs, and then placed a raw piece of meat nine feet in the air directly above the pit.  Like a fool in an attempt to get the free meal I will plummet to my demise.  This is the best analogy I can come up with for the loss I will incur here.

$100

Arkansas 31- Ole Miss 24

2.  Oklahoma State -9.5 @ Baylor

Baylor still sucks.  They are the total whipping boy of angry teams in the Big 12 who thought they were going to have banner seasons.  Also, Waco sucks.

$80

OK State 42- Baylor 20

3.  AND NOW FOR MY

Clemson @ Miami -4.5

Clemson is terrible, so fucking awful that they lost to Maryland.  Maryland is so shitty that they lost to Middle Tennessee State and needed overtime to beat James Madison.  Let me repeat, they needed overtime to beat James Madison.  James Madison plays in Division IAA.  And they are 2-4 this year.

And with that in mind, Clemson is only a 4.5 dog to Miami, and the game is in Miami.  Oooooooookkkkkkkkk.

$200

Clemson 10- Miami 58

4.  TCU @ BYU Under 51

I think this game will end 24-20.  I also think that I have no idea who will win this game.  But enough about this game, I'd really like to give you some insight on UB-Western Michigan but UB might be without their starting two running backs, and Western Michigan might not have one or two of their top WRs for the game.  So if you want to play that spread with five points you are joking yourself.

$50

24-20 not sure who wins

RESULTS
1-3
Overall 15-15

Love the Miami pick.
As a MWC fan, I feel pretty good about TCU covering - and less confident but probably taking the over on the 51. Good luck sir.
