The Albany Firebirds of the arenafootball2 league have offered the disgraced Falcons QB a shot at the small time! The incentive laden contract the team is proposing to Vick also includes a clause where he needs to donate $100,000 to an Albany area humane society. That must be one hell of a contract since players earn $200 per game.
Perhaps the team management feels Vick can return the franchise back to the glory days, you know when the team won the 1999 ArenaBowl championship?
Please don't confuse arenafootball2 with the original, AF2 still found a way to have a season. No report on whether or not Quincy Carter is available for the Tri-Cities Fever.
The Albany Times Union has the scoop.
*UPDATE- Owner says it was a "joke."
